9/11 FDNY Coakley Trailer Fund

The Firefighter Steven Coakley Foundation honors the sacrifices of all who gave on September 11, 2001 and is named in memory of FDNY FF Steven Coakley, Engine 217. We travel to events with a piece of the Twin Towers in their honor. The trailer that holds the steel has become weakened and outdated. The foundation is raising funds to purchase an enclosed trailer to protect the steel and ensure its safe travel from each event with the vision of adding many schools to the visits. The steel is not only a piece of history; it represents all who gave the ultimate sacrifice on that terrible day. Bringing this tangible display to the younger generation is key in “Never Forgetting”. The foundation wants to ensure the steel will be protected for many years to come. Housing the steel in an appropriate trailer will make that happen.
